Third Tring Game part 1



Whistle Bridge

 Jim and Rob's Anglican League were defending Whistle Bridge from Matts Reccon in force. Matt came under fire from Rob's AT gun and an Infantry section. Matt moved down to the river and destroyed the AT gun and forced the section to retire.

East Coker

 Ook and Smillie were in East Coker as the Anglican League, when it was attacked by Allan and Andy. This was Andy's first wargame and I'd dropped him in at the deep end ( sorry mate). Allan and Andy deployed behind the ridge line. And then tryed to take the farm. This was defended by Smillie firing from the hedge line. As this was going on Andy moved to his left. Mean while Ook was moving from the centre of the village to cut Andy off.

My Mum has been a great help with the whole VBCW project, she has just given me a load of old photo's of her family. All of the are from the 1930s. Here the first ones.

My great Uncle Sam is the one these photo's with the eyebrows.

WeyFest, 2011

Wayfest is held at The Rural Life Centre, Reeds Road, Tilford, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 2DL.
This is a great place for 1930s stuff and a place I'd highly recommend to go too.
If you have a rural life centre near you go and have look, my mum does cooking demo's at the one in Glastonbury.

Brigade Games Cafe,

This is Brigade Games European Cafe, now in the UK as a Post Office.
It is a bit of a pain in the arse to put together as I have very little patience. It has 3 floors plus the roof so lots of places to put figures. Getting the floors in and out is a pain too.

 Once it is together it looks good and will add to any wargames table with its hight.

As you can see I still have some work to do, over all I think it is well worth getting.
The house to the left is the Brigade Games European House. This also has a removable roof and floor.

Another Good Week

My first idea

With Pete's help I now have 3 SFF unit patches. My first idea was a oval patch,but Pete also did a

triangular 1 which in the end is the 1 I'm going to use.

 I've found 2 companies which can make the patches so I'm going to email them and get a price.

 Painting wise I've finished the Lewis gunner and 'Hero' Officer for the BUF. Yes even the BUF have hero's.

 I seem to be in command of the Anglican League at the next big game at Evesham, so I'm going to try and make an assault company for the game. This figure will be one of them.

 Allan and I have been talking about civvie rules to add on to Ook's 'Went The Day Well' rules. Here are my first 3. Spies need civies to hid amoung, so these should add somthing extra to the games.
